Industry City is a 6-million-square-foot, 35-acre mixed-use commercial campus located along the Brooklyn waterfront in the Sunset Park neighborhood. Originally created in the 1900s as part of the historic Bush Terminal manufacturing district, the modern incarnation of Industry City has been transformed through over $400 million in capital improvements led by development partners Jamestown LP, Belvedere Capital, and Angelo Gordon & Co. The campus includes 16 interconnected industrial buildings redeveloped for creative offices, design and tech studios, artisanal manufacturing, light industrial production, retail shops, restaurants, coworking, event spaces, and cultural programming. More than 500 companies operate within the campus, representing sectors such as media, fashion, food production, technology, design, nonprofits, and specialty retail. Companies like AECOM, the Brooklyn Nets, Design Within Reach, West Elm, the Vera Institute of Justice, and numerous boutique brands occupy space within the complex. Industry City serves both as a workplace hub on weekdays and a major public destination on weekends, with food halls, courtyards, Japan Village, entertainment, maker studios, exhibitions, fitness facilities, and seasonal cultural events.
