Midway is a privately held, Houston-based real estate investment, development, and leasing firm founded in 1968. The company operates as a fully integrated platform, providing investment management, development, construction oversight, and leasing services across a broad range of asset types, including mixed-use, office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and master-planned communities. Midway specializes in transformational real estate projects with an emphasis on mixed-use developments featuring office, retail, hospitality, and residential components. The firm's notable developments include CITYCENTRE, a 2 million-square-foot walkable urban development in Memorial City; East River, a 150-acre tract on Houston's east waterfront near downtown; Watermark, the redevelopment of the old ConocoPhillips campus in the Energy Corridor; and Levy Park adjacent to the Kirby Grove tower on Richmond Avenue.
Midway’s portfolio includes approximately 45 million square feet of completed or active projects located primarily throughout Texas, as well as other U.S. markets and Northern Mexico. Headquartered in Uptown Houston, the firm focuses on long-term ownership and value creation through both ground-up development and the repositioning of existing assets.
In May 2023, Midway partnered with Orlando-based Parkway Property Investments to form Parkway Ventures, a joint venture with 45 million square feet of assets under management and 300 employees. However, in December 2024, the partnership dissolved, with Midway selling its interest back to Parkway and bringing property operations back in-house. The company now focuses exclusively on development and acquisitions as a separate entity.
