The company was established in 1946 when Walter Shorenstein joined Milton Meyer & Company, which later became Shorenstein. Douglas Shorenstein became CEO in 1995 and led the firm until his death in 2015. Brandon Shorenstein assumed the role of chairman and CEO in 2020.
