The Clover Company began in 1960, with Irvin Maizlish working for Leo Eisenberg Company of Kansas City, Missouri. He became the top commercial salesman, broker, and developer in Kansas City and was recognized nationally as a leader. His focus was on neighborhood grocery and discount shopping centers. Irv was named company President in 1981 and Chairman in 1988. The Eisenberg Company managed over 30 million square feet of industrial, office, and retail property at seven regional offices and ranked as one of the largest shopping center developers nationwide. Irv served as President of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Irv retired in 1992 to oversee his portfolio of 300+ real estate partnerships. After his untimely death in 1997, the Maizlish family assigned those responsibilities to Irv’s colleague Ted Greene, Jr, a real estate broker in Kansas City. As Irv’s children all moved west, in 2014 the Clover Company transitioned to Tucson under the leadership of Paul Kraft.
