In 1986, the eventual founder of ITEX, K.T. “Ike” Akbari, joined Park Central and quickly worked his way up through the company’s ranks to become Vice President in charge of Property Supervision in 1992. Through careful analysis of the markets, investment management and attention to detail Ike was able to quickly grow both the company’s portfolio and his own stake in the company. He acquired ownership of Park Central Management in 2002 and merge it with ITEX the same year. Ike brought two guiding principles with him when he formed the Property Management Division; personal integrity and social responsibility in business. Using these as a guide ITEX has assembled a core group of quality employees that optimize the properties of their partners and stakeholders. The Property Management Division has now grown a portfolio that manages over 60 properties, 7,100 units its and has overseen the development or refurbishing of millions of dollars’ worth of real estate.
