VanTrust Real Estate was established in 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri, by Cecil and Larry Van Tuyl, successors to their family's automotive empire (The Van Tuyl Group). As a privately held, family-owned developer, VanTrust has grown into a vertically integrated, national platform with regional offices across the United States. The firm is supported by substantial capital via the Van Tuyl family, enabling large-scale commercial development (industrial, office, multifamily, retail, science/tech, mixed-use, hospitality) and offering full-service real estate solutions including acquisition, development, asset and corporate services, brokerage, and construction oversight. By the end of 2025, VanTrust has developed or acquired over 68 million square feet across multiple sectors, backed by nearly $8 billion in project value.
