From our love of food and travel, we searched the world looking for the best ingredients to create tacos for our valued customers! We came across many great recipes, some not so good, and and few awful versions too. Upon returning from our travels, having sampled countless Mexican flavors and ingredients. We realized that Los Angeles was in need of a proper taco! The goal to create amazing food was born. We knew we needed to create more than just an enticing smell; we needed to create an amazing flavor. Once we started grilling some of the highest quality carne asada, chicken, fish and other meats on an authentic rotisserie spit, just as they do on the streets of Mexico, mixed with all the finest and freshest ingredients that we had gathered, we knew we were creating something amazing.

Subway began in 1965 when Fred DeLuca opened Pete's Super Submarines in Bridgeport, Connecticut with financing help from Peter Buck. The company pioneered the fast-casual restaurant model focused on customizable submarine sandwiches. After expanding through franchising since 1974, it now maintains dual headquarters in Connecticut and Florida while operating thousands of locations worldwide. The menu features made-to-order subs, wraps, salads and baked goods with fresh ingredients. Though now a global brand, its Connecticut roots remain central to the company's identity.
