Rare and Retro Soccer was founded in 2021 by Eddie Powell. Eddie had a lifelong passion for soccer, both on and off the pitch. In a career that took him from England at the age of 18, to the United States, he transitioned through youth and high school soccer - eventually captaining an NCAA Division I College team. Professionally, he went on to own a Soccer Shots franchise, help grow the Soccer Shots Franchising brand itself, and lastly, help manage and grow the U.S. adidas Soccer business. Although he enjoyed many areas of the soccer business, Eddie loved the apparel side, especially jerseys. After deciding to leave adidas, and after help and advice from his good friend Matt, Eddie decided to start Rare and Retro Soccer and share his love of retro, classic, and vintage jerseys with supporters of all kinds.
