ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The Villeflix Mansion was built in the 17th century for financier Antoine Jossier de la Jonchère. In 1690, the building was sold to Françoise Ricoult, wife of François Vireau de Villeflix, who gave it its name. It later passed to their descendants, the Michau de Montaran family. The street-facing gateway was raised by a small additional floor during the reign of Louis XV. The door panels are adorned with bas-reliefs depicting an allegory of Justice and Asclepius. Altered in the 19th century and repurposed for commercial use, the mansion was further elevated, and the courtyard residence lost its interior decorations. Today, the historic mansion is located in the heart of a bustling street, directly surrounded by shops.
